Bio:Nancy Santesso is the Knowledge Translation Specialist - Cochrane Musculoskeletal & Cochrane Effective Practice & Organisation of Care Groups. She practiced as an RD in acute, chronic, long term & outpatient care before completing a Masters of Library & Information Science. She has worked with the Centre for Evidence Based Mental Health in Oxford, England conducting literature searches & creating web resources for evidence based health information for the public. She then worked at the Medical Library at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where she was a Clinical Librarian for Emergency services providing physicians with tailored health information. Nancy has been working with the Cochrane Collaboration for 4 years where she develops methods for translating the evidence from Cochrane systematic reviews into ‘user-friendly products’ for dissemination & use; & research interventions for & to enable consumer participation in health care & health care research.
