Bio:
Diana Mager is a Pediatric Research Nutrition Fellow and the Home TPN dietitian within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto Canada. She is also the Clinical Educator within the Department of Clinical Dietetics at the Hospital for Sick Children. Diana completed her PhD in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto in 2004 under the supervision of Dr. Paul Pencharz. Her doctoral work focused on branched chain amino acid metabolism in children with chronic liver disease. Her doctoral work focused on the dietary and metabolic characteristics of obese children with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Dr. Mager will be taking up a new joint position in Nutrition Services as a Program Leader in Research in Capital Health and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Alberta in the summer of 2006.
