Bio:
Ohood Alharbi is a nutrigenomics consultant, who received her PhD in Nutrigenomics from the University of Toronto. She was awarded her Masters in Food and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Western Ontario in 2012, specialized in nutrient inadequacies in retirement communities. She completed her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from King Abdulaziz University in 2006, specializing in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Dr. Ohood is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, and she is the Co-Chair for Young Professional Development at Canada Saudi Business Council. Dr. Ohood is the owner of Personalize My Diet, a Toronto- based online clinic certified by Excellence Canada. In her practice, she uses genetic testing to apply nutrigenomics (AKA personalized nutrition/diet) in her nutrition consultations. Her expertise also includes promoting gut health through interaction between nutrigenomics and the gut bacteria. Dr. Ohood has been a reviewer for multiple scientific journals and she is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Current Development in Nutrition. She has also presented her research results in multiple international conferences.
