Parkinson's disease (PD) is a slow, progressive neurodegenerative condition, characterized by  tremor, stiffness (rigidity), slow and decreased movement (bradykinesia), and postural instability (1,2). Monitoring for malnutrition, weight changes, signs for dysphagia and nutrition status is needed (2). At the present time, the condition is managed primarily by medications, surgical interventions and physical therapy (1,2).
