Jill graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biochemistry-nutrition and minor in psychology. She completed a dietetic internship program through Eastern Health Corporation, Newfoundland and over the years has pursued learning opportunities through Laval University, Penn State University, Athabasca University as well as Dietitians of Canada and the Canadian Public Health Association. Jill has been employed with the Central Regional Health Authority in various areas including food service management, regional community nutrition, chronic disease, diabetes education (where she obtained her CDE) and long term care. She currently works with the public health department and thoroughly enjoys her career in this field.
