Pathway Contributor: Jennifer Shearer

Jen Shearer (Mottashed) graduated from the University of Guelph Ontario in 2005 with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree and Applied Human Nutrition major. In university, Jen worked for Hospitality Services as the Student Nutrition Awareness Program Coordinator (SNAP). Much of her time in university was spent creating nutrition education materials, writing articles, delivering healthy living presentations to students, and managing a team of volunteers. Upon graduating university, Jen accepted an internship position with the Manitoba Partnership Dietetic Education Program. Upon completion of internship, Jen plans to pursue career opportunities that will cater to her passion for teaching and motivating others to optimize their health status. Heart health and diabetes education are Jen's key areas of interests at this time.
