Wearable Technology - Bite Counters to Monitor Intake Study

New research has suggested that using a " bite counter" significantly decreases the food intake of young normal weight females during a meal and even more so if the subjects ate off of smaller plates. In a second trial, subjects given a goal of a set number of bites were found to increase the size of their bites and therefore did not decrease their intake compared to controls. The study did not include overweight or obese people of other ages, nor did it look at the impact of the bite counter over several meals or days
