Bio:
Margaret has worked as a dietitian for over twenty years, predominantly with the hospitality sector and other organizations within the food supply chain. She has a passion for supporting a nutritious, sustainable food supply. The implementation of a food waste monitoring programme and the development of a plate waste reduction campaign sparked her interest in reducing food waste. She is currently completing a Master of Science measuring and exploring the drivers for food loss in the horticulture sector. She enjoys being hands-on as a volunteer for a food rescue organization, helping to redirect surplus food to those in need. She is also a member of the Coeliac NZ Medical Advisory Panel with a particular interest in supporting their Dining Out Programme.
