Bio:
Susan Barr is a Professor of Nutrition in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She completed her undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics at UBC, a dietetic internship at the University of Alberta Hospital, and her PhD in Human Nutrition at the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic. She has published over 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals and serves on the Editorial Boards of several journals. She has also been active as a member of expert and advisory committees, and chaired the Subcommittee on Interpretation and Uses of Dietary Reference Intakes during the development of the Canada/US Dietary Reference Intakes. She has received awards for teaching, research, and service.
