Bio:
Claire graduated with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and obtained her postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics, both from King’s College, University of London. Prior to this she studied Biology at Imperial College London where she first developed her interest in food, health and sport. Her desire to work with and help people led her down the path to becoming a dietitian and working in the NHS, specializing in the dietetic management of medical gastrointestinal disorders (including IBS, IBD, and coeliac disease), surgical gastrointestinal patients (including bowel cancer, ileostomy patients and high-output stoma patients) as well as obesity, PCOS and weight management. Being a keen sportswoman herself, Claire fostered her interest in sports nutrition gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee in 2010. With 10 years of clinical experience under her belt, Claire is now completing her PhD at Imperial College London, investigating the effects of macronutrients on appetite and body composition. She also works in private practice alongside her research. Claire is a member of The British Dietetic Association, and its subgroups: the Gastroenterology Specialist Group, and the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register.
