Bio:Pat Vanderkooy is currently retired. Until March 2019, she was the Manager, Public Affairs - Food & Nutrition, at Dietitians of Canada. With more than 30 years of teaching, research, consulting, clinical, community and public health experience, Pat had become familiar with almost all sectors in which dietitians work today. Pat's undergraduate and graduate degrees were in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph and she completed her dietetic internship at Grand River Hospital, ON. Passionate about food skills development and equitable access to healthy food, Pat enjoys lively discussions of political and cultural perspectives, travelling to new destinations and taking cooking classes in the local cuisine.
