Wendy completed her BSc in Food & Nutrition at the University of Alberta & a dietetic internship at University of Alberta Hospitals. She has worked for over 20 years at the Calgary Health Region Diabetes, Hypertension & Cholesterol Centre & was the winner of the regional Speaking of Food & Eating award for a cardiovascular risk reduction behavioural change program, Creative Lifestyle Changes. She was a study coordinator for studies investigating psyllium and cholesterol-lowering effects & another entitled: Personal Investment in Cardiovascular Health (PICH). Wendy is co-developer of a self-management program for emotional eating & is a nutrition columnist for Calgary Health Region Health & Wellness magazine. Recently she authored the Current Issues on Sodium & Hypertension, as well as FAQ & CHN articles on issues related to Hypertension management. She is a Master Trainer for the Stanford University Chronic Disease Self-Management Program & a reviewer of 2007 DC cookbook.
