There is consistent evidence across the health professions that clinical education has benefits to students, educators and patients. These benefits include patient safety and satisfaction, student learning and satisfaction and job satisfaction for educators.

Benefits of practice-based dietetic education include high quality supervision has positive effects on patient outcomes.
