Goals for an individual to improve immunity should be determined in conjunction with the client and should be specific to the individual. Goals that are set should be time-sensitive, easily measured and achievable by the nutrition intervention. Both short-term and log-term goals may be set include:
  • to ensure a nutritionally adequate diet that:
    • supports optimal immune function
    • prevents deficiencies that may compromise the immune response
    • helps achieve and support a healthy body weight
