Shokuiku (Food and Nutrition Education - English)

Description of Shokuiku in English from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Shokuiku forms the foundation for living. It is the base of intellectual (Chiiku), moral (Tokuiku) and physical (Taiiku) education. Promoting of Shokuiku will raise children who can practice healthy dietary habits, by teaching them about Shoku (eating) and about choosing Shoku (diets) in various experiences.
